English translation

A woman survives a bear attack in Canada

On Sunday, a grizzly bear attacked a 72-year-old woman while she was hiking in British Columbia, in western Canada. The woman had cuts on her face, arms and neck. She also broke a bone in her neck. The attack took place in a remote area about 70 kilometers north of the town of Pemberton. Rescue workers transported the woman to a hospital in Vancouver, and she is recovering. Wildlife officers think the bear was a mother with a cub, and that it attacked the woman to protect her cub.
