Lors d’un examen de santé récent, les médecins ont trouvé un problème dans le poumon droit du pape Léon XIV. Mardi, le pape a été opéré à Rome pour enlever une partie de ce poumon. Des analyses ont ensuite montré qu’il avait un cancer du poumon. Selon le Vatican, l’opération s’est bien passée et il n’y a pas eu de complications. Le pape Léon a 71 ans et il se rétablit maintenant à l’hôpital. Il y restera environ une semaine. Le Vatican a annulé toutes ses apparitions publiques jusqu’au 20 octobre.

Lung cancer diagnosed in Pope Leo
