Bonjour,

Voici les actualités en français facile.

Vocabulaire: vol (m) = flight / assez = enough / contrôleurs aériens (m pl) = air traffic controllers / encore = still / signaler = to report / fatigués = tired / pousser = to push, lead / se déclarer malade = to call in sick / deuxième = second / emploi (m) = job / trafic aérien = air traffic

Flight cuts expected if US government shutdown continues

If the federal government shutdown continues, flight capacity will be cut by 10% at 40 major US airports starting Friday morning. The government made this decision because there are not enough air traffic controllers. The controllers who still work have reported that they feel tired. During the shutdown, they have had to work without pay. This has led some to call in sick or to take a second job. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said that the reductions are necessary to ensure air traffic safety.
