Le nouveau film Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, sort au cinéma aujourd’hui.

Bonjour,

Voici notre dernière newsletter de la semaine.

Vocabulaire : passer = to cross / par voie terrestre = by land / mourir = to die / appartenir = to belong / faire partie = to be part of / partager = to share / frontière (f) = border / depuis = from / Cour (f) = Court / ce mois-ci = this month / renvoyer = to send back / renforcer = to strengthen / la plupart = most / envoyer = to send

Thousands of people cross from Morocco into Spain

This week, thousands of migrants tried to cross from Morocco into Ceuta, a small Spanish city in North Africa. About 49,000 people arrived by land and sea in a single day, and at least 10 migrants have died. Ceuta belongs to Spain, so it is part of Europe, but it shares a border with Morocco. It is one of the few places where people can go to Europe by land from Africa. The crossings began after a decision by the Spanish Supreme Court. Earlier this month, it decided that migrants caught at sea near Ceuta cannot be sent back to Morocco. On Friday, Spain and Morocco strengthened the border fences to block most of the crossings. Spain also sent soldiers to the border.
